Peter Tran is a leadership development consultant and coach. His area of expertise is in working with cognitive biases to help people overcome their most complex behavioral challenges and achieve their highest goals.

He received his coaching training with renowned Harvard professors, Robert Kegan, Lisa Lahey, and Deborah Helsing whose seminal research in change management and Immunity to Change has become a business leadership foundation. He is certified in administering the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment, which helps teams build greater capacity for difference and understanding.

Peter spent five years at the City of Seattle managing workforce development programs for the City’s young at-risk populations. After receiving his M.A. in Transformational Leadership from Seattle University, he led city-wide stakeholder engagements to address critical economic development issues around equitable transit-oriented development, local sustainability, and community health.

Peter is currently leading coaching research in partnership with Mayo Clinic to understand how healthcare system reforms can be supported by human developmental theory and innovative leadership coaching.

A Seattle native, he spends a lot of time road biking through the lush Pacific Northwest with his wife, 3-year old daughter, and fellow bikers.
